Deregulation of housing caused by Haus 70 permits irresponsible design with lack of acknowledgement to building context and furthering unhealthy cities/developments. Three principles of design [interconnectivity, transitionality. and conviviality] engage the scale of the human, the scale of the house, the scale of the neighborhood, and the scale of the city by affirming an architect's responsibility to consider all.
Conviviality or designing for individuals to interact proposes social ecosystems as public spaces of commonality. The infill project encompasses one central zone of massive greenspace to promote spatial clues of investigation at the level of the individual and overarching empowerment of community.
Transitionality or designing for future expansion addresses the ecological considerations of sustainable planning. An intentional node resides on the upper left corner that acts as a facilitator of prospective extension by design duplication
Interconnectivity or designing for mobility expands the realm of the individual to move and engage a scale larger than the neighborhood. The project presents a new train stop on pre-existing railroad tracks and a bus loop that activates surrounding neighborhood context to promote mobility with environmental considerations of future generations.
